The role - Senior Receptionist

As a Senior Receptionist you will be responsible for welcoming guests and managing our reservation system in a fast-paced environment. This is a challenging and very rewarding role, involving interaction with every single guest, helping to ensure that each person who crosses our door has a truly unique experience with us.

As a Senior Receptionist, an important part of your role is to assist the Reception Manager in the effective daily running of reception, providing exceptional levels of guest care and ensuring that the reception team follows by example. 


Often the first point of contact for our guests, you’ll need to have a strong presence and warming character whilst working well under pressure. Duties will include:

  •  Helping to develop the reception team so they work in an efficient and collective manner, highlighting any concerns and issues regarding performance and behaviour of the team to the Reception Manager
  • Ensuring exceptional levels of service are delivered throughout the whole guest journey, from initial enquiries, through taking bookings, to offering a warm welcome when they enter the restaurant through to a fond farewell and everything in between
  • Communicating with guests and prospective guests in a friendly and professional manner via phone, email and in person, whilst adapting language and service style to suit the guest
  • Handling and organising reservations using ResDiary (our online reservation system), maximising yield and ensuring that requests are met
  • Producing an effective seating plan to assist with a smooth service
  • Actively and continuously taking notice of the entrance, reception area, guest toilets and other guest areas every time they pass, ensuring they always look and are at their best
  • Being able to explain the rodizio concept and system to guests in a friendly and precise way whenever necessary
  • Assisting the front of house team and management in the service delivery
  • Any other tasks reasonably requested by the managers
