Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a Food and Beverage Team Leader to join our dynamic team at Buskers on the Ball Bar, operating under the Temple Bar Hotel brand, our unique four-star hotel in the heart of Dublin.
You will report to the Food and Beverage Manager, supporting the team to deliver excellent service to our guests, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across our food and beverage outlets, and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and cleanliness at all times.
A Food and Beverage Team Leader will be responsible for:
Leading, motivating, and supporting the Food and Beverage team in providing exceptional guest experiences.
Adhering to and ensuring the team follows all safe working practices, health & safety, and hygiene standards.
Ensuring service standards are consistently met and exceeded, anticipating guest needs and maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere at all times.
Assisting the Food and Beverage Manager in daily operations, including staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
Promoting sales and actively upselling food and beverage offerings to maximize revenue.
Monitoring stock levels, assisting with stock control, and ensuring accurate wastage recording.
Supporting with cash handling, floats, till operations, and compliance with hotel financial procedures.
Overseeing the setup, service, and closure of food and beverage areas, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
Developing an in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage products and being fully aware of all hotel facilities to assist guests effectively.
Working as part of a team, supporting colleagues, and being flexible to meet the operational needs of the business.
Attending training, appraisal, and assessment meetings as required.
To be successful in the role of Food and Beverage Team Leader, we require:
Previous experience in a supervisory role within food and beverage or hospitality.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
A solid understanding of food and beverage operations and service standards.
Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
The ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A team-oriented attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
