The Role:

The Executive Assistant supporting Smashburger’s President isn’t your average desk job—it’s a high-impact, high-energy position at the center of our burger universe. You’ll be the right hand to our top burger boss, ensuring the President’s schedule runs like a well-buttered grill and strategic priorities stay on point. While your main focus will be supporting the President, you’ll also provide essential support to the rest of our executive team, keeping the leadership engine firing on all cylinders. You’ll need to balance professionalism with hustle, protect time like a seasoned line cook protects their station, and bring a hospitality mindset to everything you do.

What You’ll DO:

  • Manage inboxes, action items, travel, and prep materials
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings—everything from board meetings to vendor visits
  • Help prep slide decks, reports, and communications that align with Smashburger’s flavor and focus
  • Anticipate needs, pivot with urgency, and solve problems before they hit the plate
  • Support special projects and confidential initiatives with trust, speed, and finesse
  • May coordinate lunches and/or dinner events as needed
  • Build relationships across the team and with key partners to keep momentum sizzling
  • Other duties as assigned

What it Takes:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing executive calendars (especially in Microsoft Outlook), booking complex travel, and preparing expense reports using tools like Concur or similar systems, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities across a busy executive team
  • Tech-savvy with mastery of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel
  • A proven track record of discretion, resourcefulness, and absolute follow-through
  • A knack for keeping cool in a high-speed kitchen—grace under pressure is a must
  • Impeccable attention to detail with a strong bias for action
  • Excellent communication skills—you can go from boardroom to burger line with ease
  • A hunger to make things better, faster, and more deliciously effective
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked in hospitality, food service, or franchise-driven companies

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 5+ years supporting executives

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position is based in Denver, CO and requires a hybrid schedule of working at a minimum of 3-4 days in the Denver office
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
