PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF POSITION
The Manager of Sales Strategy and Performance acts as the “hub” for the Global Sales & Distribution organization working with the market segment and functional leaders on the team. Sales strategy driven by analytics begins with this role working with the sales leaders. Vetting of priorities to improve sales efficiency and performance is key. Analysis of sales process, programs, operations and
tools is central to strategy formulation and execution. The Sales organization is optimized by the Sales strategy and performance group coordinating marketing, communication, trade shows & sales missions and sales collateral so that the sellers can drive revenue through direct sales. This role will also share responsibility with peers to stay current on cutting edge industry initiatives and new
emerging technologies to improve sales performance.
Functions of the role:
• Sales strategy & analytics
o Works with the analytics team to develop and distribute timely data
for the sales teams, CRHG leadership and hotels
o Develop data-driven insights and analytical tools to enable informed
decision making
o Execute strategic sales initiatives to support both functional and
innovative solutions
• Process & technology optimization
o Streamline the sales process to maximize effectiveness and align
sales systems and tools to drive continuous improvement
o Implement innovative sales tools and performance systems
o Coordinate sales programs, communication, recognition and training
• Marketing, communication & events
o Develop messaging and communication vehicles for all sales
constituencies
o Own project management of delivering against the Global sales
activity calendar to include trade shows & sales missions
o Partner with B2B Brand marketing and loyalty teams to deliver,
maintain and make available assets for the sale team
Requirement/skills:
The Manager of Sales Strategy & Performance must have firsthand knowledge of hotel and above property sales process. They must have strong process thinking and project management skills and be able to work within a matrix environment. They will over time be managing a cross functional team of individuals so strong leadership and people management experience is important.
