What you'll do 

• Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, benefits, and deductions.
• Verify timesheets, attendance records, and other relevant documents before payroll submission.
• Ensure adherence to cut off dates as per contract with the payroll system
• Prepare monthly reconciliation between the last 2 payment periods
• Preparing and distributing payroll reports to management, including holiday and lieu report,  overtime etc

• An understanding of UK payroll legislation, including tax, NI, pensions, and statutory payments.
• Understanding of hotel operations and employee scheduling practices.
• Knowledge of payroll software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Capable of working with minimum supervision
• Ensure all data is complete and accurate and supplied in the agreed payroll system format.

• Previous experience as a Payroll Assistant or similar role in a hospitality setting is preferred.
• Able to provide support to other sections of the accounts team as and when required

• Ability to administer and manage the payroll system; to report and act on any systems malfunctions to the relevant internal and external IT support teams.
