What you’ll do

As an Income Auditor, you will be responsible for managing and tracking fixed assets across the Dorchester Collection’s UK hotels, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  •  As an Income Auditor you will be  responsible for producing highly accurate revenue and statistical information reports for management use. 
  • You will be expeceted to  produce highly accurate revenue and statistical information reports for management use – Daily sales Report for 3 Dorchester Collection properties in the UK.

  • As a part of our duties you will perform daily revenue reconciliation activities in line with departmental policies & procedures.

  • You will be responsible to highlight and correct any deficiencies in the revenue recording operating procedures applied by the outlets as well as to ensure that all data on the revenue reconciliation spreadsheet balances back to source documents/systems .   

  • You will maintain a reconciliation and monitor the accuracy of the control accounts on the balance sheet which relates to revenue and cash and  re-post in opera all intercompany transactions between 45PL and The Dorchester on a daily basis and balance the intercompany balance sheet account on a monthly basis. You will be expected to check invoices payable to third parties to charges posted through Front Office, e.g. theatre tickets, car hire, laundry and dry-cleaning, etc. to ensure that all charges has been accounted for as revenue received.

  • During the Month End yoy will be providing all relevant journals related to revenue (Spa revenue, Florist revenue, 3rd party restaurant revenue, deferred income).

What you’ll bring

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong understanding of  5-star Hotel operating preferably in United Kingdom, especially in the financial department.
  • Knowledge of design and implementation of revenue accounting control processes.
  • High level of computer literacy: MS Office, GPD, Opera, Micros.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in another role within the accounts department of a similarly large organization.
  • It is desirable that the person is studying towards the achievement of a professional accounting qualification; CIMA;ACCA;ACA.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience working in luxury hospitality or a hotel finance department.
  • Familiarity with procurement and supplier payment best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to enhance financial processes.
  • Experience handling multiple payment systems and managing invoice workflows.
