What you’ll do
As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be responsible for
managing and tracking fixed assets across the Dorchester Collection’s UK
hotels, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Your key responsibilities will
include:
- Invoice Processing: Coding and posting
invoices on ADACO and GPD, covering food, beverage, consumables, operating
equipment, and miscellaneous items.
- Financial Integration: Exporting invoices
from ADACO and integrating them into GP Dynamics for accurate financial
reporting.
- Supplier Liaison: Communicating with
suppliers regarding invoices, credits, and payments, ensuring timely resolution
of queries.
- Payment Management: Raising and updating
invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial
policies.
- Process Improvement: Assisting the
Accounts Payable Manager in updating and refining standard operating procedures
(SOPs).
- Efficiency & Accuracy: Working to
enhance payment turnaround times while ensuring accuracy in all financial
transactions.
What you’ll bring
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of accounts payable
processes, including invoice coding, reconciliation, and supplier
communication.
- Experience working with financial systems
such as ADACO and GP Dynamics.
- Excellent organisational skills with a high
level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a customer
service-focused approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a
finance team and meet strict financial deadlines.
- Fluent in English, with the ability to
communicate effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience working in luxury
hospitality or a hotel finance department.
- Familiarity with procurement and supplier
payment best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the
ability to enhance financial processes.
- Experience handling multiple payment
systems and managing invoice workflows.
