The Job:
We are seeking a new regionally-based Venue Maintenance Engineer to join our Venue Operations Team. The core purpose of this role involves the maintenance and repair of our venue's fabric & systems, with a strong focus on Heating, Ventilation and AC systems (HVAC).
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of facilities across multiple regional locations ( Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds) and must be willing to travel as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across multiple sites, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and building fabric maintenance.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and HVAC-related issues and provide effective solutions.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity and safety of equipment and systems.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Accurately document maintenance activities, including work orders & localised site audit inspections, and repairs.
Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and management to report progress and any issues.
Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe working condition.
Regular Travel between Manchester, Liverpool, and Leeds, with the flexibility to undertake occasional UK-wide travel as required.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience in general maintenance with a strong understanding of HVAC systems.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality & safety compliant work.
Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
Basic IT skills for documenting and reporting maintenance activities.
Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Competence in a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, and general building repairs.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between locations.
Formal qualifications in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical engineering (preferred).
Experience working in a multi-site maintenance role.
