We’re looking for a Restaurant & Bar Manager with energy, style and serious people skills to help lead the food and drink experience across The Bird and support exciting projects at our sister hotel, Dukes, in Bath.

This is not a beige management role. We want someone who can bring the buzz, lead from the front, build a brilliant team culture and make every service feel memorable. You’ll be a key part of shaping one of Bath’s most vibrant dining destinations.

What you’ll be doing

As Restaurant & Bar Manager, you’ll support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the restaurant and our wider dining spaces, including:

• The main restaurant
• Indoor and outdoor event spaces
• Dining Domes
• Our gorgeous terrace

You’ll also:

• Lead, inspire and develop a team across multiple outlets
• Drive cross-training, growth and team retention
• Create standout guest experiences that keep people coming back
• Make sure service feels polished, personal and full of energy
• Bring strong Rosette-level service knowledge and high standards to every shift
• Coach the team on the guest journey, service delivery and product knowledge
• Ensure all health, safety and allergen standards are consistently met
• Support our sister hotel, Dukes, with event delivery and bar development
• Use hospitality systems confidently, including Lightspeed, Harlo, SevenRooms, Opera and ProcureWizard
• Help attract new talent and build a team people want to be part of

What we’re looking for

You’ll probably be a great fit if you:

• Have experience managing a high-quality restaurant operation
• Know how to lead confidently and positively from the floor
• Are passionate about exceptional guest experience
• Have strong communication skills and natural presence
• Thrive in a fast-paced, stylish hospitality environment
• Can balance high standards with warmth, personality and team spirit
• Genuinely care about developing people and building a great culture
