We’re currently looking for an experienced Conference & Banqueting Bartender to join our dedicated Events team and help deliver exceptional bar service across our weddings, conferences, and private functions.

Your role in our family:

• Provide professional, friendly, and efficient bar service during all C&B events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions.
• Prepare, mix, and serve a variety of beverages — from classic cocktails and premium wines to bespoke event drinks.
• Set up and break down mobile bars and event spaces in line with function requirements.
• Maintain stock levels, cleanliness, and presentation standards throughout service.
• Work collaboratively with the C&B Floor Managers and C&B Manager and wider team to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Offer knowledgeable drink recommendations and support bespoke event menus.
• Uphold Sopwell House’s standards of luxury and hospitality at every event.
• Ensure all guests feel welcomed, cared for, and celebrated during their visit.
• Take pride in appearance, attention to detail and teamwork.

What would make you the perfect fit?

• Previous experience in bartending, ideally within a hotel, events, or luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong cocktail-making and beverage service skills.
• Confident, personable, and professional, with excellent communication and guest service abilities.
• Flexible and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced and varied event settings.
• Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• A proactive team player with a can-do attitude.
