OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The In Room Dining Supervisor (IRD) Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the workflow of their team by assigning tasks, supporting colleagues, monitoring results, and reporting to management. They contribute to the efficiency of the department by reviewing and constantly improving SOPs and setting attainable daily goals for their team.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

The main responsibilities of the In Room Dining Supervisor are summarised below, the list is not exhaustive:

  • Assisting Managers in compiling staff rotas, dealing with leave requests and arranging cover when necessary
  • Planning workloads, allocating tasks and monitoring progress of daily operations
  • Arranging inventory and stock take monthly
  • Briefing teams on new procedures, goals and news in collaboration with managers
  • Maintaining health and safety standards
  • Devising work schedules and implementing deadlines
  • Ensuring that quality standards are upheld
  • Assisting in conducting performance reviews by reporting performance to management
  • Communicate with Kitchen team(s) to effectively create and evolve IRD operating procedures
  • Be familiar with IRD opening/closing procedures including updating service notes
  • Be familiar with IRD running procedures and flow of service
  • To help create a positive, encouraging, and fun place to work for our team and each other
  • To log any issues with their various departmental procedures as needed
  • To ensure the guest experience is of an exceptional level and constantly review standards of practice to see where improvements can be made
  • Any other reasonable tasks asked to be performed by the management according to the changing business needs.
