At Paris Baguette, we believe joy is baked and decorated daily. As a Cake Team Member, you are not just creating cakes; you’re crafting edible celebrations. From elegant piping to whimsical designs, your artistry brings our guest experiences to life. We are on a mission to bring expertly crafted goods to every neighborhood and are looking for masters of their craft to join our new team in Thousand Oaks.

LEAD TRAINING PROGRAM

We are seeking Lead Cakers for an intensive 4-week training program starting in April. This allows you to master our signature recipes, specialized piping techniques, and brand standards before our official opening in May.

Note: Candidates who do not move forward in the Lead Caker role will still have the opportunity to be considered for Caker positions closer to our Grand Opening.


THE ROLE

  • Decorate and assemble cakes and desserts to recipe and visual brand standards.
  • Prepare creams, fillings, icings, and toppings from scratch or components.
  • Use elegant piping and whimsical designs to make every occasion memorable.
  • Manage daily production plans and workflows to meet café demand.
  • Ensure cake displays are organized and visually appealing to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe decorating station.
  • Monitor product quality and consistency because details matter.
  • Support special orders and guest customization needs when applicable.
  • Help train new Cake Team Members in decoration techniques and café procedures.
  • Complete waste logs, production sheets, or prep reports as required.
  • Receive, stock, and organize ingredients and supplies efficiently.
  • Adapt to other bakery tasks as needed because we are all one team.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • At least 1 year of cake decorating or culinary experience is required.
  • Familiarity with piping bags, whipped cream, fruit décor, and finishing techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and labeling practicesFood Handler’s Certification is required.
  • Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and pride in presentation.
  • Team-first attitude, willingness to learn, and passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
