At Paris Baguette, our Retailers are brand ambassadors who genuinely love our food and are customer obsessed. We are on a mission to bring expertly crafted baked and brewed goods through a warm bakery café experience that delivers joy to everyone. We are looking for high-energy team members to join our brand-new Thousand Oaks location.
In addition to Retailers, we are also hiring for Bakers, Cakers, and Sandwich Team Members. Whether you are a master of the oven or an artist with a piping bag, we have a place for your passion!
THE ROLE
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests in-person or over the phone following our high standards of excellence.
- Greet guests by making eye contact, smiling, and spreading joy with every interaction.
- Assist guests with order decisions, educate them on menu items, and perform suggestive selling to enhance their experience.
- Operate the POS system (Toast) with high attention to accuracy in cash handling and credit card processing.
- Prepare coffee and other beverages based on guest demand.
- Check product quality for displays and organize the rotation of all pastries and desserts.
- Keep all areas of the store clean and organized during operating hours.
- Work with a high sense of urgency, honesty, integrity, and efficiency.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
- For lead or full-time roles, 1–2 years of Retail/Customer Service experience is preferred, but we are open to training motivated part-time students.
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED or currently enrolled in High School.
- Food Handler’s Certification is required.
- A positive, passionate attitude and high emotional intelligence to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) for accurate transaction handling.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and follow direction.
