What you’ll be doing?

You will have studied a Hospitality related degree programme, along with having some relevant industry experience which may be in the form of work experience or placement.

As a Duty Manager, you will have a key position in supporting all departments. Ultimately, this role is around enhancing guest service, building relationships with guests and maintaining regular contact with them throughout their stay.  You will support other departments during pressure points of service, and be an integral ‘go to’ person for both guests and managers. 

This is a perfect role to gain multi department experience, providing maximum exposure to progression in your chosen specialism of Food & Beverage or Front Office in the long term.  

What you’ll need?

• To have completed a Hospitality Management or Travel & Tourism degree;
• Ideally to have completed a 48 week placement/internship as part of your studies;
• Relevant experience as a team member in a hotel or hospitality service led role;  if you haven’t completed a degree we would expect your experience to be to supervisory level
• You will be a great communicator as well as a good listener and be capable of building great relationships with colleagues.
• It goes without saying that a positive ‘can do’ attitude is essential, along with a good sense of humour, team spirit, as well as a real and evident passion for the industry.

You’ll be looking for a role that can widen your experience and be a stepping stone to a future Head of Department role.
