THE CUBE will present fast-paced, interactive entertainment to Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, further strengthening the city’s reputation as a premier destination for immersive, experience-driven attractions. The launch will be the third global venue for THE CUBE, and the first outside of the U.K. 

THE CUBE Chicago is looking to attract a diverse team of fun, hospitality associates who want to be a part of creating an elevated, one-of-a-kind guest experience.  


Role Description 

Working in the Front of House team you are responsible for the delivery of a high-class restaurant operation. You will work in our restaurant inside the venue, serving seated meals to guests, and sliders and sharing plates to parties and group bookings.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Providing top quality restaurant service to compliment the customer experience.  
  • Taking orders and serving food with enthusiasm, engaging with customers. 
  • Taking orders for drinks and collecting from the dispense bar when ready to serve. 
  • Monitor and rotate stock to reduce wastage.  
  • Maintain a clean and presentable service area at all times, clearing tables of empty glasses, wiping down menus and table surfaces.  
  • Assist in setting up, laying cutlery and menus.  
  • Helping to close the restaurant and bar, deep cleaning the service areas. 

Other Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Ensure all training is completed in a timely manner. 
  • Proactively contribute to and suggest ways of improving company processes.  
  • Assisting in the onboarding of newer members of the team.  

Skills 

Technical 

  • 2 years of restaurant service experience.  
  • High volume restaurant operation experience.  
  • Experience working in large teams as well as independently.  
  • Experience serving at large events. 

Personal  

  • Flexibility to work regular evenings and weekends.  
  • Positive, ‘Can do’ attitude, picking up any additional responsibilities to help the wider team. 
  • Engaging and pleasant persona to extend the customer experience. 
  • A keen eye for detail, never compromising on standards and keen to deliver an amazing service. 
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt.  
  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the venue, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces.
  • Ability to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move, or lift up to 50 pounds.
