We are seeking an experienced Assistant Front office Manager to play a pivotal role in the pre-opening and launch of Sofitel Dublin Airport Hotel— a luxury flagship property managed by the award-winning Arora Group in partnership with Accor’s Sofitel brand.

Directly connected to Terminal 2, this landmark hotel will redefine the guest experience at one of Europe’s busiest international gateways and will feature:

  • 412 elegant guestrooms
  • Extensive meetings and events facilities
  • A spectacular rooftop bar with panoramic views across Dublin and the airport

A bit about what you will do...  

The Assistant Front Office Manager will support the front office manager in leading Reception and Night Front Office operations and delivering a seamless, personalised and efficient guest experience. The role provides visible operational leadership, maintains service and financial controls, develops the team and deputises for the Front Office Manager when required.

  • Support the Front Office Manager in leading Reception and Night Front Office operations, ensuring seamless guest arrivals, departures and overall service delivery.
  • Play a key role in the hotel's pre-opening journey, including recruitment, training, SOP development, system testing and operational readiness. Deliver exceptional guest experiences by ensuring all guest interactions are warm, professional, personalised and efficient.
  • Deputise for the Front Office Manager when required, providing leadership, decision-making and operational support.
  • Take ownership of guest requests, concerns and service recovery, ensuring prompt resolution and follow-up.
  • Oversee room allocation, guest profiles, billing, cashiering and payment procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Engineering and Guest Relations to maximise room readiness and guest satisfaction. Support Night Front Office operations, including night audit processes, safety checks, financial controls and handovers.
  • Coach, motivate and develop team members through regular feedback, training and performance support.
  • Maintain high standards of service, grooming, professionalism and adherence to brand and company procedures.
  • Drive commercial performance through room upgrades, ancillary sales and guest loyalty initiatives.
  • Monitor guest feedback, service metrics and operational performance, implementing improvements where required.
  • Assist with rostering, payroll control, stock management and departmental budgets.
  • Participate in duty management responsibilities and provide leadership during busy periods and operational incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety, security, data protection and financial control procedures.

More about you...  

  • Previous supervisory or assistant-management experience in a busy hotel Front Office or Reception operation, ideally within an upscale or luxury environment.
  • Strong guest-service orientation and the confidence to manage operational and guest situations calmly, professionally and with sound judgement.
  • Good knowledge of reception, room allocation, cashiering, credit, night audit, overbooking, relocation and service-recovery procedures. Arora Group Hotels.
  • Strong working knowledge of Opera or a comparable property-management system and confidence using Microsoft Office and connected hotel systems.
  • Effective leadership, coaching, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Commercial awareness, including upgrades, ancillary sales, payroll, productivity and cost control.
  • Highly organised, resilient and detail focused, with the flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays in a 24-hour operation.
  • Pre-opening experience and relevant hospitality or management education are desirable.
