Hampton by Hilton Newcastle is recruiting a part-time Guest Service Assistant. 

The perfect candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry, ideally having worked in a hotel, bar or restaurant. The shifts are variable and can be 8 hour or 12 hours between 7am and 11pm. This role is for 16-24 hours per week across 2 or 3 shifts and will include midweek, weekends and bank holidays.

We want a confident communicator who brings personality and shine to our team.  

Main Roles & Responsibilities

  • Working across all departments of the hotel including reception, bar & kitchen.
  • Manage hotel room inventory & checking guests in/out.
  • Managing bills & payments.
  • Helping guests & creating positive experiences.
  • Prepare and serve food from a limited simple menu. 
  • Serving alcohol, soft drinks, hot drinks & snacks.
  • Follow all food safety, licensing and health and safety policies to work safely

 You will have 'Hamptonality' 

  • Great energy and a can-do attitude.
  • Great team player, and you love chatting with guests.
  • Skilled multitasker who can balance hard work with great service.
  • Clear communicator fluent in English (and other languages a plus!)

 Useful Experience

  • Hotel reception or similar experience in the hospitality industry 
  • Knowledge of hotel reservation systems
  • Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
