Northbrook Park

Description

About Us

Set in the heart of the Hampshire countryside, Northbrook Park is a beautiful 18th-century wedding and events venue where unforgettable celebrations take place throughout the year.

From elegant weddings to lively parties, our team plays a vital role in making every event feel effortless. As a Night Manager, you’ll be one of the key people behind the scenes, helping to keep the venue safe, secure and looking its best while our guests enjoy their evening.

It’s a role that combines responsibility, variety and plenty of independence — perfect for someone who stays calm under pressure and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment.

The Role

As a Night Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the venue once the evening is underway, ensuring everything runs smoothly through the night.

Working closely with the Bar Operations Manager, you’ll be a key point of contact for guests, suppliers and colleagues should anything arise. You’ll also help prepare the venue for the following day, ensuring spaces are clean, secure and ready for the next event.

No two nights are quite the same, so you’ll need to be observant, practical and confident making decisions when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the venue and grounds throughout the evening, helping to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff
  • Carry out regular checks of the property and event spaces
  • Keep public areas clean, tidy and presentable
  • Assist with setting up and preparing function spaces for the following day
  • Support with event breakdowns when required
  • Respond calmly and confidently to any incidents or emergencies
  • Act as a point of contact for guests, suppliers and colleagues during the night
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth handover each morning
  • Move tables, chairs and other equipment as required to prepare the venue
About You

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, switched-on and comfortable working independently. You’ll need to be someone who notices the little things, remains calm when things don’t go to plan and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.

Previous experience in a porter, concierge, hospitality or night-shift role would be an advantage, but the right attitude and a strong sense of responsibility are just as important.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A reliable and punctual approach to work
  • The confidence to work independently and make decisions
  • A calm and practical approach when dealing with unexpected situations
  • Good attention to detail
  • The physical fitness to move tables, chairs and equipment when setting up event spaces
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
Working Hours

Typical shifts are 8:00pm–12:30am or 5:00pm–12:30am, although you may sometimes finish earlier depending on the event.

If you enjoy working behind the scenes, take pride in keeping things running smoothly and would love to be part of a team creating memorable experiences at one of Hampshire’s beautiful wedding venues, we’d love to hear from you.
