Citadines Canal Amsterdam is looking for an enthusiastic, curious and inventive Senior Receptionist to join The Ascott Limited’s newest flagship in Europe!

Our Citazens, being the staff of Citadines, stand at the heart of the historic and heritage property that has 93 rooms, gym and guest lounge (providing a food & beverage offering) within the building.

As Senior Receptionist, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the day-to-day work of the Front Office Team, from customer service to administration
• Ensuring that the team offers a warm welcome and departure experience to our guests, managing expectations by constantly seeking opportunities to personalise their needs, travel purposes, plans, etc
• Taking initiative in accommodating the customers’ needs in a resourceful manner
• Undertaking and overseeing Front Office administrative tasks in accordance with Company standards, procedures and legal obligations
• Ensuring that all shift tasks are carried out according to the required standard and take responsibility in providing full handovers to all relevant parties/shifts.

To be successful in the role of Senior Receptionist, we require:

• At least one year experience in a similar role is essential
• Excellent guest engagement skills
• Ability to bring the guest experience to life throughout the hotel
• Willingness to learn and work with IT systems quickly
• Ability to communicate and organise yourself in line with different guest expectations
• Be flexible to work shifts (early or late) over a 7-day rotating pattern (including weekends)
• Be an adventure-seeker, enthusiastic approach to your work and service orientated
• Have strong interpersonal skills with effective communication ability in written and spoken Dutch or English
