About Us:
The Perch is not just one of Oxford’s oldest and most charming pubs—it’s a destination. Nestled by the River Thames on Port Meadow, our 17th-century thatched-roof public house blends centuries-old tradition with a modern, vibrant kitchen. We’re renowned for our warm welcome, family and dog-friendly ethos, and our ability to host everything from relaxed afternoons in the garden to unforgettable events in our custom-built marquee.

 

The Role:
We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Chef de Partie to join our talented kitchen brigade. You will be responsible for taking full ownership of your designated section, ensuring all dishes are prepared, cooked, and presented to the highest standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Running, organising, and managing your designated section efficiently.
  • Preparing and cooking fresh ingredients to meet exacting standards.
  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily prep and menu development.
  • Maintaining strict food hygiene, health, and safety standards.
  • Monitoring stock levels and minimising food waste.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Demi Chef de Partie ready for career progression.
  • A genuine passion for food and working with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
