ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER Great American Cookies & Marble Slab Creamery

The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in all aspects of store operations and serves as the acting manager in their absence. This position focuses on team leadership, operational execution, training, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

1.        Support the General Manager in daily store operations.

2.        Coach and train team members to deliver outstanding guest service.

3.        Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee development.

4.        Ensure product quality standards are consistently met.

5.        Monitor baking production and ice cream preparation.

6.        Complete opening and closing management responsibilities.

7.        Enforce company policies and operational procedures.

8.        Assist in scheduling and labor management.

9.        Maintain inventory and assist with product ordering.

10.  Monitor cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.

11.  Assist with local marketing and community engagement activities.

12.  Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.

13.  Develop Shift Leaders and crew members.

14.  Ensure all operational checklists are completed accurately.

·      High School Diploma or equivalent

·      1-3 years restaurant, retail, or hospitality leadership experience preferred

·      Strong communication and leadership skills

·      Ability to work flexible schedules

·      ServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred

·      Reliable transportation

·      Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

·      Ability to stand for extended periods

·      Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·      Lead by example

·      Maintain a positive attitude
