Our back-of-house team members have plenty of enthusiasm and a love of working as part of a team. Let’s face it, without all those kitchen essentials being taken care of (prepping, deliveries, cleaning), the whole operation would come to a grinding halt!  A real passion for people, service and food is what really counts here!

What do we look for in a GBK Kitchen Porter?

· Ensure that you comply with legislation regarding Security, Health & Safety and Food Hygiene and Licensing laws.

· Maintain the cleanliness of the pot wash area and the kitchen including all floors, equipment and surfaces

· Rinse, wash and stack all dirty cutlery, crockery and kitchen equipment

· Preparation of ingredients to the correct company specification

· Ensuring all delivery items are inspected for quantity, quality and use-by date and are put away correctly

· Help to minimise waste

· Ensuring all delivery items are inspected for quantity, quality and use-by date and are put away correctly

· Can fully explain and demonstrate the allergen procedures

· Own your section and duties including open and close down checks

· Work at pace

· Informing the management of any stock or equipment issues
