ASSISTANT AREA GENERAL MANAGER – BERLIN 
We are on the lookout for an exceptional and passionate Assistant Area General Manager overlooking all 3 properties in Berlin. Reporting to the Area General Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the overall operations and ensuring that our guests have an amazing experience. It is currently boasting 132 rooms & 690 beds, being a little gem in our portfolio.

Berlin Mitte – Right in the heart of the city. Formerly two 19th century office buildings, it’s now fused into one arts-focused über hostel. Winner of the 2017 Trip Expert Experts' Choice Award. Berlin’s renaissance has made it one of the most appealing cities for artists and musicians, its reputation cemented as a cultural powerhouse where epic party nights aren’t just one-offs.

Berlin Prenzlauer Berg - Located in East Berlin’s most laid-back neighbourhood, this hostel offers a clean and safe space situated moments away from the Landsberger Allee S-Bahn and Tram station, being the perfect launchpad for exploring the city. The property is under renovation with a bar, summer garden and building of a future café.

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

• Work with the Area General Manager to manage the daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage departments
• Lead and motivate the team to deliver exceptional guest service
• Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
• Assist with financial management, including budgeting and forecasting
• Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement new initiatives to improve guest experience.
• Ensure positive, safe and profitable working
• Implement contest and upselling initiatives to achieve company help goals
• Conducting and/or participating in regular employee meetings
• Ensuring the property is prepared always for audits, has full knowledge of all standards for the brand

WHAT’S IN YOUR DNA

• True passion for food and hospitality is a must
• Must be a self-starter, take initiative to continuously learn and grow
• Must have working knowledge and understanding of Word, Excel, Microsoft Office
• Prior training, recruiting, and onboarding experience is preferred
• Strong initiative and work ethic
• Strong attention to detail

YOUR ROCK STAR EXPERIENCE

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
• High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
• Appropriate experience in hospitality, preferably within a lifestyle concept
• Complete fluency in English and German is required
