Banqueting Chef Benefits
What we are looking for
Who we are
The George's Banqueting operation supports the Ballroom, Long Room and Kitchen Table rooms, which can be hired separately or together. We have a dedicated banqueting kitchen in the hotel, focused on weddings, private dining and festive events. You will work independently or alongside an experienced group of chefs who will support you to deliver the standards our guests expect.
Following a two-year refurbishment, The George in Rye has re-established itself as one of the leading hotel and banqueting venues in the South East. Having set the standard for boutique coaching inns 15 years ago, this iconic hotel is back under its original founders. Come and be part of it this festive season.
We are in the heart of the idyllic medieval town of Rye, between Ashford (Kent) to the east and Hastings to the west, by the sea next to Camber and its white sandy beaches.
The George in Rye is a local, family-owned business with strong links to the community. We are committed to sustainability and buying local. Our guest charitable scheme, matched pound for pound by the hotel, raises thousands for good causes.
Diversity
The George in Rye is proud to be an equal opportunities workplace that seeks to recruit, develop and train the most talented people from a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skills. We encourage applications from all genders, races, religions, ages and sexual orientations, as well as parents, students, people living with disabilities, and any other groups that could bring diverse perspectives to our business.
Only those eligible to work in the UK or holding a valid UK work permit/visa will be considered for the role.
