CORPORATE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
GERBER GROUP

GERBER GROUP is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join the team!
Hospitality industry leader, Gerber Group, encompasses iconic venues under such brands as Gerber Group TWA- The Sunken Lounge, The Connie, and The Pool, Irvington, Kingside, The Roof, Mr. Purple, The Campbell Bar, and Taco Electrico in NYC. Now, Gerber Group is looking to add passionate, talented individuals to the growing, Gerber Group team!

Responsibilities...
• Personnel Issues
o Handle all staff requests and grievances with utmost confidentiality
o Abide by Gerber Group policy and procedure in handling a variety of situations
• Recruitment
o Responsible for job postings, applicant management, and interview coordination with appropriate management
o Update and write job descriptions when needed
o Host open calls when necessary
o Bring forth innovative ideas to hire top talent
• Onboarding
o Format offer letters
o Prepare all materials prior to employee’s first day of work
o Coordinate set up for the employee including emails, benefits, new hire paperwork, etc.
• Benefits
o Manage processes in regards to benefits administration, monitoring eligibility, COBRA, etc.
o Track vacation time for employees and ensure Accounting is informed for payroll purposes
• Team Bonding/ Employee Motivation
o Plan and implement motivational and team building activities for staff including volunteer activities, staff outings, merit-based rewards program, etc.
• Compliance
o Manage all Paid Family Leave, Short Term Disability, and Worker’s Compensation paperwork
o Handle all requests for employment and wage verifications, unemployment claims, etc.
o Ensure all documents and postings required are updated and implemented as necessary
o Ensure all training necessary for each positions including Sexual Harassment, CPR, TIPS, Food Handler’s, etc. are tracked and completed for all necessary individuals
o Update policies and procedures as necessary as per federal, state, and city regulations/laws and ensure changes are implemented as necessary
• General
o Complete HR-related tasks and administrative duties as needed

Who we are looking for…
The ideal candidate is a hardworking and organized individual who thinks creatively. Must communicate effectively in all mediums and at a quick pace. Organization and time management skills are vital. A background in hospitality a human resources role is preferred.

Requirements:
• 2 years of progressive human resources experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Computer functions, and HRIS systems in general
• Hospitality human resources experience a plus
