Gold Room BK is the newest wine and cocktail lounge serving the finest in American comfort food. A wide array of wines and spirits and carefully prepared dishes catering to different palettes makes this establishment a new staple in the Prospect Lefferts Garden neighborhood of Brooklyn.
We are currently looking for wait staff to join our team! The ideal candidate has exceptional customer service skills, is passionate about the hospitality business, customer experiences, and is looking for an opportunity with a growing company.
Education & Experience:
• Must have one year of experience in full service high volume bar or equivalent.
• Hospitality experience in a restaurant or lounge.
As a server, you are a guide for our guests, demonstrating thorough knowledge of the food, beverages, ingredients and general preparation of items on our menu. You must exhibit great communication skills and a pleasant friendly attitude at all times. Overall, you are responsible for taking orders and accurately conveying them to the kitchen and bar, maintaining a neat and orderly environment, and ensuring guests have an unforgettable experience. As a server at Gold Room you will be responsible for orchestrating the food and beverage service for a station of tables and being the face of the dining experience. You should be able to develop rapport with your guests and offer warm, efficient, and thoughtful service. As a member of the service team, you are also responsible for ensuring that you and your support team maintain the service and aesthetic standards set forth in the Gold Room service manuals. Gold Room is a new restaurant that will be evolving for several years to come so we expect you to be able to give constructive feedback on ways to improve the service flow and guest experience. This is also one of the main revenue generating positions, therefore being able to curate and offer dining experiences that maximize the check average is will be a large part of your role.
Requires minimum of 1 year as a server in a NYC dining establishment - fine dining experience a plus. Each candidate must possess the following:
