Our exclusive-use, all-inclusive wedding packages take care of your wedding day from start to finish, overseen by our expert team. Country House Weddings offers six hand-picked wedding venues across Essex, Cambridgeshire, Warwickshire, Somerset and Gloucestershire. Each one chosen for its picturesque location, charming exterior, and opulent interiors, whether that be a Georgian Mansion, Tudor Manor or fairy-tale Castle. Country House Weddings specialises in weddings, providing exclusive use of the venues to couples from midday to midnight on the day of the wedding, while also offering all-inclusive wedding packages to ensure a couple's wedding runs smoothly from start to finish. This includes, although not limited to, multiple wedding ceremony options per venue, a three-course wedding breakfast created by expert chefs who specialise in wedding catering, fully stocked bars, and an evening reception with buffet, DJ and disco. Each venue also boasts accommodation that can be added for overnight guests, as well as numerous grand reception rooms for couples and their guests to use throughout the wedding.

We are recruiting a Night Manager Reporting to the Venue Manager and Personal Wedding Managers, assisting in all aspects of Night Management.

What we expect from you “The Role” – Night Manager

Work on a rota basis covering all weddings

Weekends and bank holidays are prime wedding dates and essential to the role

Job Description

Main duties:

· To control access to building and other areas from 11.00pm to 7.00am on event days (with overnight accommodation)

· To respond to guest issues as needed and appropriate

· To promote, offer and serve late-night drinks (including wine and bottled water) to guests, in line with licensing regulations

· To be presentable at all times, and deliver drinks in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

· To complete a handover with the Personal Wedding Manager, at the start of the shift to gain knowledge of each particular wedding, number of guests, volume of overnight residents and any special requirements for overnight or early morning

· To be responsible for the bar and stock security during the night shift

· To ensure the safety of the building and the people in it with a full awareness of health and safety procedures and you will operate at all times in accordance with your employer’s health and safety policies

· To patrol all areas on foot to guard against theft, vandalism and fire

· To ensure safe evacuation of the venue in the event of fire and to liaise with the Emergency services in the event of emergency

· To be a qualified First Aider and to administer First Aid as and when required

· To be aware of personal safety and fire safety issues at all times

· To be the responsible person between 11.00pm and 7.00am and to contact the Personal Wedding Manager in exceptional circumstances including where necessary for the purpose of providing continuity of service for clients, and in the event of an emergency following established safety and emergency plans and procedures

· In addition to the above responsibilities you will also be required to complete some cleaning and maintenance duties as long as these don’t interfere with safety and security

· To ensure the smooth running of each wedding, event and the venue, maintaining high standards and acting as an ambassador for Country House Weddings Ltd at all times

· You will ensure the safety of the building and the people in it with a full awareness of health and safety procedures and you will operate at all times in accordance with your employer’s health and safety policies

· Any other duties as required by the Venue Manager and Personal Wedding Manager

Candidate Requirements:

· Excellent presentation

· A positive and friendly attitude

· Customer service and communication skills

· Available midweek, weekends and bank holidays
