St Austell Brewery is recruiting for an exciting new job opportunity within our internal IT team. We are looking for a Technology Services Team Leader to join in a technical, hands-on role and lead a team of 5 to deliver exceptional service and provide a reliable and secure IT platform at our breweries, depots and pubs. 

 
What is like to be a Technology Services Team Leader 

Working closely with the Technology Services Manager and the wider team your responsibilities will include: 

  • Leading the IT Service desk and supporting 1st, 2nd and 3rd line engineers 
  • Ensure we provide exceptional service to all customers, and measure performance against SLAs 
  • Troubleshooting IT technical issues and resolve in a courteous, professional, and timely manner 
  • Act as a technical escalation point for the team 
  • Design, implement, document, maintain, and test the organisation’s infrastructure 
  • Administer computer networks and related computing environments including firewalls, servers, routers, switches, storage arrays, hypervisors, WAN, LAN, Azure, MS365 
  • Implementing asset management processes as part of the service management lifecycle 
  • Ensure the on-going operation of St Austell Brewery’s business functions, including ensuring out-of-hours support and managing shift patterns 
  • Manage the deployment and implementation of disaster recovery / business continuity technical design and objectives, documentation, planning and testing 
  • Actively developing and executing continual service improvement plans to improve Customer Service 

About you 

  • Must have a proactive problem management mindset, focusing on improving root cause analysis to reduce incident levels 
  • Ability to quickly identify hardware, software, and network issues 
  • Must have working knowledge of MS365, Windows Server, Virtualization (Hyper V/VMware), Telephony systems, networking and routers, Switches, Firewalls, Access Points, Active Directory, Azure and ITIL knowledge 
  • Experience in setting and monitoring service performance within an SLA 
  • Project management experience 
  • Strong desktop management & technical support background using Microsoft and Mac technologies
  • ILM level 2 qualification or equivalent 
  • Team Leader experience 
  • Experience in a multi-site retail setting (with EPOS/PDQs)
