Central Reservations Agent
St Austell Brewery

Description

At St Austell Brewery, we take pride in our high-quality portfolio of 27 hotels and inns. They each have a personality of their own and are found located in prime locations across the South West – from Bristol to the Isles of Scilly.

They’re much-loved places where good times are celebrated with quality food and drink, combined with an increasing number of bedrooms to meet the growing demand for staycations.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Central Reservations Agent to join our Central Reservations Team. Our Central Reservation Agents play a crucial role in delivering experience that delight our guests. You will demonstrate a confident approach to selling hotel facilities, converting enquiries into reservations, while building strong relationships and solving problems.

The Central Reservations department is open from 8.30am to 7pm, Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 6pm during weekends. You will be required to work 35 hours on a shift basis over five days, which will involve some weekend work (including a one-hour unpaid lunch).

 About You:

  • Excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
  • Experience of working in a call centre or hospitality environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and an ability to effectively prioritise and manage competing priorities.
  • A problem solver, you are unflappable and stay calm under pressure. You are flexible and comfortable working within a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player who works well with others.
  • You have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a call centre or in a hospitality setting. An understanding of hotel property management systems is beneficial, but not essential.

 What we offer in return:

  • 33 days’ annual leave.
  • 30% discount on food & drink and 50% discount on accommodation.
  • Fantastic training & career development opportunities.
  • Discounted membership with local businesses.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Company bonus scheme.
  • Health cash plan.

Additional info:

St Austell Brewery is an Equal Opportunities employer, and we positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates, regardless of age, sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital/civil partnership status, or pregnancy and maternity. We also welcome requests for flexible working. Early applications are encouraged as we’ll review applications throughout the recruitment process and reserve the right to close the advert at any time.

Please note that we politely request no contact from recruitment agencies or media sales. Speculative CVs from recruitment agencies won’t be accepted, nor the fees associated with them.
