Ten locations-strong and just warming up, we’re not your run-of-the-treadmill gym. We’re the ones who brought the craziest classes, best gear, sexiest clubs, and most challenging workouts to the capital. So, imagine what we could do for your work life…
We are currently recruiting for a Head of Personal Training to make Gymbox the leading environment for Coaches and Personal Trainers to run successful businesses. The Gymbox Academy, through education and development, provide the opportunities for self-development for Coaches and increased awareness for members of the benefits of 1-2-1 coaching.
Key responsibilities
• Overall responsibility for the Personal Training product at Gymbox.
• Development of an on-boarding process to ensure the calibre of the trainer is suitable.
• To ensure Trainer levels are maintained to budget. This will include in-house recruiting and working with external recruitment agencies.
• Recruit VPT Manager in each GYMBOX to ensure VPT code of conduct is followed. Also to provide a mentoring system to help new trainers to develop.
• Develop a better point of sale process to improve the uptake of introductory coaching sessions for new members. This will take the form of proper goal setting and the benefits of coaching to help achieve goals. Also to take the lead on developing a system to allow members to provide feedback and rate their introductory session.
• Together with the marketing team improve the visibility of Personal Training on the GYMBOX.COM website for both potential new freelance trainers and to members looking to improve through 1-2-1 coaching.
• Work with the head of Group Fitness to develop the GYMBOX Academy. The Academy will become a feeder system for trainers to be able to teach classes across the GYMBOX network. It will also become an education platform for trainers to become better upskilled.
• Explore and develop GYMBOX online programming and also a series of paid for extra courses.
• Weekly meetings with Product Director
• Weekly meetings with PT Managers
• Weekly Group Fitness meetings
• Quarterly PT Meetings
What we're after
The candidate will need to have Exercise Science or a Sports Management Degree and ideally, but not essential, fitness/sport coaching experience. They will need to be goal oriented, results driven, eager to interact with members, and excited to develop and manage a team of high performing talent.
