London, UK | Full-time
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience
About Urban Gym Group
Urban Gym Group is a fast-growing European fitness and wellness company operating brands like Gymbox and TrainMore across the Netherlands and the UK. We don’t do boring — our clubs are built around music, culture, and community, and we’re on an ambitious expansion path across major European cities. We’re looking for people who share that energy.
The role
We’re hiring a hands-on Partnerships & Events Marketer to own the planning, production, and promotion of events across our UK portfolio. This is not a “strategy deck” role: you’ll be on-site, building sets, briefing DJs, coordinating vendors, and making sure every event lands with impact.
With 3+ years in events marketing (ideally in fitness, lifestyle, or entertainment), you know how to turn a brief into a packed-out experience that drives brand love and memberships.
What you’ll be doing (not limited to):
Plan, produce, and execute a calendar of member events, launch parties, brand activations, and community partnerships across our UK clubs
Manage end-to-end event logistics, including venue prep, supplier coordination, AV, catering, permits, and on-the-day run sheets
Work closely with the social and content team to create buzz before, during, and after events
Build and manage relationships with local partners, influencers, DJs, and brand collaborators
Track event performance including attendance, new sign-ups, social reach, and member retention, and use data to improve future events
Manage event budgets and negotiate with suppliers to maximise impact within spend
Support wider marketing campaigns with experiential activations and pop-ups
What we’re looking for
Approximately 3 years of experience in event marketing, ideally in fitness, sport, leisure, or lifestyle brands
A genuinely hands-on mentality — comfortable carrying speakers, adjusting lighting, and fixing last-minute problems
Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple events at once
Experience working with social media teams and content creators to amplify events
Confidence managing budgets from £5k to £50k+
Excellent supplier and stakeholder management skills
A passion for fitness, wellness, or an active lifestyle
Willingness to work evenings and weekends when events require it
Nice to have
Experience in the gym, health club, or boutique fitness space
Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com
A network of contacts in the London fitness, music, or lifestyle scene
We offer:
Competitive salary plus 8% holiday pay based on your annual salary
26 days holiday (based on full-time employment)
Pension plan to support your future
Join our Work in Club Programme and experience life on the gym floor
Well-being matters: you and your family get unlimited access to OpenUp, our mental health and well-being partner
Unlimited access to all our first-class clubs for you and a +1
Remote working option for up to 10 days a year based on full-time employment
One day a year for charity work: give back and make an impact
