Description
A Human Bean Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager by supervising daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction through quality products and service. Key duties include training and delegating tasks to baristas, performing financial tasks like register readings and payroll, maintaining store cleanliness and safety, managing inventory, and responding to emergencies. They also assist with staff scheduling, loss prevention, and opening/closing procedures to ensure efficient store operations. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management:
    Supervise and provide guidance to team members, delegate tasks, and assist the manager with hiring and training to maintain proper staffing levels. 
  • Customer Service:
    Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous service and high-quality products, addressing concerns to maintain satisfaction and a positive customer experience. 
  • Operational Duties:
    Perform opening and closing duties, manage cash handling procedures, conduct register readings, and oversee inventory to ensure sufficient product and supplies. 
  • Store Maintenance:
    Maintain the store, backroom, and equipment in a safe and clean manner, adhering to loss prevention standards. 
  • Scheduling and Administration:
    Assist the store manager in creating weekly schedules according to labor guidelines and process payroll information. 
  • Emergency Response:
    Respond to and direct actions during emergencies, ensuring the safety of staff and customers. 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Leadership: Ability to supervise and guide team members effectively. 
  • Customer Service: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service. 
  • Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with POS systems, espresso machines, and basic food safety protocols is often required. 
  • Multitasking: Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Teamwork: Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and foster a positive team environment. 
  • Problem-Solving: Skill in responding to customer concerns and resolving issues quickly.
