Hogsalt is looking for a full time Accounting Manager to join our team!
As the Accounting Manager, you will be a key leader on the team, responsible for overseeing and managing the month-end close along with other essential accounting functions including but not limited to accounts payable, receivables, financial reporting, various tax filings, and audits. We are looking for a hands-on individual who is self-sufficient, detail-oriented, an excellent communicator and will support the growth of the accounting department along with supporting the opening of new locations.

Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum of 3-5 years in hospitality accounting management experience
CPA certification is preferred but not required
Prior experience with GAAP financial statement audits and external auditors preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Restaurant 365 is preferred
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for 10 day month end closing
Review month-end statements for select group of restaurants
Audit general ledger accounts for errors and overspending and support city and state restaurant audits
Oversee weekly financial reports for multiple restaurant locations
Set up accounting systems for assigned new restaurant openings and complete monthly financials for new restaurants
Manage period end close process to ensure restaurant-level financials are accurate and complete
Assists the Controller, Director of Finance and CFO with period-end reporting for executive leaders and other special projects as needed
Ensure proper sales tax and use tax filings on assigned restaurant locations
Ensure all 1099 year-end forms are filed timely and accurately
Support in the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reports
Assist with the creation and implementation of SOPs
Review and approve company card expense reports
Lead quarterly budget updates and assist with annual budget creation process to share with Executive team
Lead and mentor the growing accounting team
