General Manager - Refurbished Pub - Up to £50k - SW London - Balham
The Hagen & Hyde is our beautiful drinking hole and late night mainstay for South London, located on Balham High Street. A gorgeous, towering bar is there to cater to all your hearts desires whether it’s the standard lets-grab-a-drink-after-work pint, or the ‘do you have coffee tequila? Whether its brushing up on politics knowledge (or quite frankly, trying to make sense of it all) for our pub quiz or dusting off your dancing shoes for Friday night, we’ve got you.
We are currently recruiting for an outgoing and entrepreneurial General Manager to join and lead our energetic team at our newly refurbished social hub in Balham - The Hagen & Hyde.
The Role
- Your the face of the venue, as General Manager you oversee all aspects of running the venue as if it were your own business.
- Be business savvy and demonstrate great commercial understanding.
- Your team will look up to you, it's essential to train, nurture and develop your staff to maintain incredibly high standards and customer satisfaction.
- Community is important to us, being able to get involved, support and raise your profile within the community is a must
- Bring your ideas, think outside the box, create event and always looking to do something different in order to create the magic for both your team and guests.
What we looking for:
- "Wear your heart on your sleave", take ownership, be bold and run the business as if it's your own
- Be cool, calm and collected, manage pressure with ease, nothing can phase you
- You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get stuff done
- Must have minimum 2 years’ experience as a General Manager depending on the property being looked at
- Solid communication and organisational skills, be approachable
- Superb customer & floor service skills
- An entrepreneurial flare - we want your ideas
- Passionate about people, training, mentoring, growing a team but most importantly, loves to have fun
