As a Night Auditor/Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the night. Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager and Night Manager, you will balance end-of-day accounts for all departments and you will be at the forefront of our guest experience, ensuring every interaction is marked by warmth, professionalism, and impeccable service.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-of-day bookkeeping, auditing, and account reconciliation.
  • Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate departments.
  • Upsell hotel facilities and room categories to enhance guest experiences.
  • Uphold and deliver consistent Firmdale standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, exceeding guest expectations at every opportunity.
  • Conduct efficient check-in and check-out processes, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously, resolving any issues with grace and efficiency.
  • Maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the lobby area, ensuring guests feel valued and attended to.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members to uphold our high standards of service and efficiency.
  • Undertake administrative duties with accuracy and diligence, ensuring smooth operations throughout the night.
  • Remain vigilant and responsive to any security or emergency situations, adhering to established protocols to ensure guest safety.

What you Need:

  • Previous experience as a Night Auditor, Hotel Receptionist, or Night Receptionist is essential. Familiarity with the Opera system is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, a professional telephone manner, and superb attention to detail. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to multitask are crucial.
  • A warm, friendly, and confident personality with a genuine passion for delivering memorable guest experiences. Excellent personal presentation and resilience to handle the demands of the role.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and a dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
