As a Pastry Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in our culinary team, leading the pastry kitchen with confidence and flair.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of pastry chefs to ensure high standards and continuous development.
  • Overseeing the preparation and presentation of all pastry items, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen, including order of service and mise en place.
  • Collaborating with the Executive Chef to create new and exciting dessert menus using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Maintaining inventory and ensuring efficient stock control and ordering processes.

What you Need:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting.
  • A genuine love for food and a desire to create innovative and delicious pastries.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing, developing, and motivating a team.
  • High standard of food knowledge and technical pastry skills.
  • Excellent organisational abilities to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
