Job Title: General Builder/ Skilled Maintenance.

Location: Clacton Colchester.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am- 4pm.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced General Builder/Skilled Maintenance Person to join our growing team. Such as, you will assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of various buildings and properties we maintain. This includes both new builds, renovations, and general maintenance. Your expertise will contribute to creating safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environments for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construction & Building Work: Perform a wide range of tasks related to the building and renovation of structures, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical works, roofing and much more.
• Structural Repairs & Maintenance: Conduct repairs on existing buildings, including patching, painting, plastering, and other maintenance tasks.
• Installation: Install windows, doors, and other structural elements.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and practices on construction sites to ensure a safe work environment.
• Tool & Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain a variety of construction tools and machinery, such as power saws, drills, scaffolding, and ladders.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside other construction workers, subcontractors, and supervisors to ensure efficient project completion.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all work completed is of high quality and meets industry standards.
• Client Interaction: Communicate with clients and managers regarding project progress and any challenges encountered.

Qualifications/:

• Proven experience in general building, Plumbing, Electrics and Carpentry.
• Good knowledge of building codes, construction materials, and techniques.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with a wide range of tools and construction equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Certification in construction or related fields (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) is preferred but not always required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience required.
• Own Tools preferred but not essential.

·         Full clean UK Driving Licence is required, must be over 25 to drive fleet of vehicles.  

Salary:

• £40,000.00 per annum.
