What are we looking for?
The main person in any Business that focuses on Fish & Chips is the Fryer. They control the speed of service, they are responsible for the reputation of the business and they have to be the most knowledgable person when it comes to the preparation and use of products on site. Essential Skills & Knowledge required
You Must -
• Be passionate about food and customer service with the ability to inspire others to deliver excellent customer service with enthusiasm
• Demonstrates a good level of personal hygiene and high standard of cleanliness
• Take direction well and has the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and often under pressure
• Have the ability to use initiative and make decisions without direction while remaining within the parameters of policy, procedure and best practice
• Have the ability to deal with change constructively
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trust and relationships across all levels
• Have resilience – ability to deal with a wide range of people and emotional situations along with fluctuating workloads
• Ensure the food you produce and serve meets the company specifications with regard to recipe, cooking method, portion size and presentation
• Ensure adherence to all food safety, health and safety and other relevant legislation
• Abide by FIFO and follow the company shelf life guide to protect quality
• Complete any training you are issued within the agreed timeframe and apply all training to your daily working practices
• Support your line manager in delivering an EHO Food Safety & Health and Safety rating of
no less than 5*
• Have previous experience in a Fryer's role with experience in using Deep Fat Fryers.
• Previous experience the preparation of potatoes necessary with a sound knowledge of potato varieties and how to prepare them correctly.
• Experience in fish cutting fillets to a consistent size and cut
