Haulfryn is currently recruiting for a Head of IT and Business Change who will have accountability for all IT Service Management functions, and Problem Management, in line with ITILv3 standards, for Haulfryn’s parks and support office, including the implementation and agreement of ICT Service Level Agreements and a Service Catalogue with key stakeholders.

What Will You Do
- Create IT & transformation agenda, that dovetails into and proactively supports 3 year Strategic plan, developing complex programmes to deliver transformational change
- Deliver user-centred technology and data products and ensure business wide IT support is robust and ensures parks are up and running to optimize customer experience
- Make recommendations to continually raise the bar for an improved customer experience either directly or improving the support function’s ability to do so
- Create, Review and Manage the IT and business change processes to ensure they are effective and relevant and drive continuous improvement
- Lead the IT team to maximise performance and personal growth and develop the team to achieve their full potential
- Engage a broad range of stakeholders across the organisation
- Embed and facilitating an environment of technical innovation
- Deliver a fully robust and operationally fit for purpose ERP systems platform, ahead of a return to peak season training (March 2023)
- Technology and data security and compliance (eg GDPR) – ensure up to date, effective and trained across the organsiation
- Provide leadership, ownership and accountability for the IT Operations and Service Delivery function, ensuring that an ITIL v3 operating model is implemented as appropriate, signed up to by the business (to CxO level), implemented and continually improved upon
- Liaise with key stakeholders including Park GMs, Heads of Department, and divisional directors to develop, implement, monitor, and report upon IT SLA’s that are aligned to industry standards and best practices.
- Define and implement the Service Delivery strategy. Drive and monitor the continued service improvement of IT services with a focus on delivering business results.
- Ensure that comprehensive Incident Management and Problem Management procedures and capability are in place, with appropriate monitoring and auditing to ensure compliance. Ensure that Root Cause Analysis is conducted and reported on.
- Lead and manage the day to day IT requirements of the business, including third party IT suppliers (including performance management)
- Create and maintain a IT Service Map and Risk Register, ensuring that technology-related risks and the overall IT risk footprint is socialized and maintained within the business’ risk appetite.
• Define and manage the governance, plans and structure of Haulfryn’s Business Change portfolio to ensure that programmes and projects deliver the objectives of the business.
- Ensure that programmes and projects carry robust investment cases, sensitivity analysis, end to end delivery plans and operational impact assessments, with associated risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (internal and external) highlighted prior to inception.
- Design and manage ongoing governance to ensure that in-flight changes to programmes and projects are properly impact assessed, socialized and approved appropriately.
- Adopt and implement a right-first-time culture to ensure a consistent and effective approach to programme and project management and delivery including procurement, business acceptance and commercial factors
What Will You Bring
- 5+ years proven experience of delivering positive systemic change as a Director of/ Head of IT & Business Change
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant subject
- Clear experience designing and owning complex business and technology transformations
- Gravitas to provide strategic leadership within complex organisations
- Proven background of engaging stakeholders at all levels, up to and including Executive level
- Passion for delivering meaningful, impact-driven transformation
- Experience of leading time sensitive systems implementations with a particular focus for engaging internal customers as part of that journey
- Customer orientated approach to business wide support
- Confident in taking your own decisions. Trusting in your own intuition you are a dynamic, energetic, “can-do” person who is happy to break the mould, who wants to do amazing things and challenge traditional thinking.
- A strategic thinker combined with a practical and expedient ability to apply such decisions.
- Subject matter expert in IT Service Delivery using ITIL v2 and v3 practices. ITIL process design qualification to Expert level [Essential
- Proven experience and knowledge of implementing ITIL v3 best practice [Essential]
- Proficient in ITILv3 Operations Management, with demonstrable knowledge of methods, techniques and tools for planning and organising [Essential]
- Practical experience in implementing Lean and building a right-first-time culture [Desirable]
- Proven experience of engaging successfully at all levels and achieving required outcomes through influence, persuasion, and collaboration, as well as through force of personality and direct line authority [Essential]
- Proven experience working and delivering service management practices within an Agile environment [Essential]
- Preferred qualifications in Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (APMG – P30); Managing Successful Programmes (MSP); Management of Risk (MoR); Management of Value (MoV); Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Maturity Model (P3M3) or other PMO qualifications or experience of working on projects related to any of the above [Desirable]
