Position Overview:

V&E Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Barista. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall success of our coffee shop. The ideal candidate should be passionate about coffee, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coffee Preparation:
  • Expertly prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and brewed coffee.
  • Ensure consistent quality in every cup by adhering to established recipes and brewing techniques.
  • Keep equipment clean and well-maintained to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
  • Customer Service:
    • Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
    • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, while addressing any specific preferences or dietary requirements.
    • Provide product knowledge and recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
  • Cash Handling:
    • Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately.
    • Maintain a clean and organized cash register area.
    • Provide customers with receipts and manage change efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
    • Assist with cleaning and restocking tasks as needed.
  • Quality Control:
    • Monitor and maintain the freshness and quality of coffee beans and other ingredients.
    • Conduct regular checks on equipment and report any issues promptly.
    • Follow food safety guidelines and adhere to health and safety regulations.

     

    Qualifications:

    1. Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
    2. Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and a passion for the coffee industry.
    3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
    5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
    6. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

     

    Physical qualifications:

    ·       Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively.

    ·       Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs.

    ·       Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions.
