A fantastic opportunity for a polished, confident and experienced Front of House Assistant / Barista to join an exceptional Central London location where great coffee, warm hospitality and impeccable service come together.

Houston & Hawkes is looking for someone who can bring personality, professionalism and genuine energy to a varied front-of-house role. Working across two stylish restaurant areas, the coffee bar and hospitality service, you will be part of the team creating a welcoming and consistently high-quality experience throughout the day.

This is the perfect role for someone who loves variety. You might start the morning preparing beautifully made coffees, move into supporting restaurant service and later assist with hospitality requirements. Whatever the day brings, you will be someone who notices the details, enjoys looking after people and takes real pride in presentation.

 THE ROLE

• Prepare consistently excellent barista-made coffee and hot beverages
• Deliver warm, polished and professional front-of-house service
• Support service across two restaurant areas
• Assist with hospitality requirements and ensure every service is beautifully presented
• Welcome customers and provide friendly, attentive service throughout the day
• Keep the coffee bar and customer-facing areas immaculate, organised and fully stocked
• Replenish food, drinks, crockery and service items as required
• Support the set-up, service and clearing of hospitality when needed
• Work closely with the wider catering and hospitality team to deliver a seamless experience
• Maintain excellent coffee equipment cleanliness and barista standards
• Follow food safety, allergen, hygiene and health and safety procedures at all times

 WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Previous experience within front of house, barista service, hospitality, restaurants or premium contract catering
• Strong barista skills and professional coffee training
• Confidence preparing consistently high-quality espresso-based drinks
• A smart, polished and professional appearance
• A warm, bubbly and naturally engaging personality
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• The confidence to work across coffee, restaurant and hospitality service
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• A proactive approach and willingness to support the wider team
• Reliability, flexibility and consistently high personal standards

 WORKING HOURS

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Two rotating weekday shifts. 7.30am to 4pm/5pm one week and  8.30am to 5pm the following week
