HOSPITALITY ASSISTANT / BARISTA

Houston & Hawkes | Central London | £15.80 per hour | 32 hours per week | Monday to Thursday

 A fantastic opportunity for a polished, personable Hospitality Assistant / Barista to join an elegant, high-end Central London workplace where exceptional service and attention to detail are at the heart of the experience.

 Houston & Hawkes is looking for someone who can move effortlessly between premium hospitality and great coffee. You will support beautifully presented meeting rooms and client hospitality while also preparing excellent barista-made coffee, becoming a friendly and professional face within the workplace.

 This is a varied role for someone who enjoys people, takes pride in presentation and understands that the smallest details can make the biggest difference. Whether you're preparing a meeting room, welcoming guests or making a perfectly finished coffee, you'll bring the same warmth, care and high standards to everything you do.

THE ROLE

• Prepare and maintain meeting rooms to an exceptional standard
• Deliver refreshments, teas, coffees and hospitality for meetings and client requirements
• Prepare consistently excellent barista-made coffee and hot beverages
• Provide warm, polished and professional service to clients and guests
• Ensure coffee, hospitality and meeting areas are beautifully presented throughout the day
• Set up, clear and reset meeting rooms efficiently and discreetly
• Support working lunches and other hospitality requirements when needed
• Replenish refreshments, crockery and consumables throughout the day
• Maintain excellent coffee equipment cleanliness and barista standards
• Work closely with the wider hospitality team to ensure a seamless guest experience
• Maintain excellent food safety, allergen, hygiene and health and safety standards

 WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Previous experience within hospitality, barista service, premium contract catering, hotels or another high-quality customer-facing environment
• Confident barista skills with a genuine passion for great coffee
• A warm, bubbly and naturally engaging personality
• A polished and professional approach when interacting with clients and guests
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Strong organisation and the ability to manage different priorities throughout the day
• A proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliability, flexibility and consistently high personal standards
