CHEF MANAGER

Camden | £45,000 per annum | Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week

Houston & Hawkes is looking for an experienced Chef Manager to lead a quality workplace catering operation in Camden.

We're looking for someone with creativity, confidence and a genuine passion for fresh food - a hands-on chef and natural leader who takes pride in every detail. You'll take ownership of the kitchen, inspire your team, build a strong relationship with the client and ensure the food offer is delivered with consistency, quality and personality every day.

 THE ROLE

  • Lead the day-to-day kitchen operation, delivering fresh, seasonal food to consistently high standards.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team, creating a positive, professional and well-organised working environment.
  • Create appealing seasonal menus using quality ingredients and bring creativity and flair to the food offer.
  • Prepare and deliver outstanding meals and hospitality as required.
  • Take ownership of food quality, presentation and consistency across the operation.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with the client and customers.
  • Manage stock, ordering, budgets and food costs with strong commercial awareness.
  • Plan effectively for service, production and changing business requirements.
  • Maintain excellent standards of food safety, cleanliness, allergen management and compliance.
  • Drive innovation and continually look for ways to develop and improve the food offer.

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience as a Chef Manager, or a strong Senior Sous Chef ready to take ownership of an operation.
  • A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal food with strong craft skills and an eye for presentation.
  • A confident people leader with excellent organisation, planning and time-management skills.
  • Commercially aware, with experience managing food costs, stock and kitchen budgets.
  • An excellent communicator who takes pride in building strong client relationships and delivering consistently high standards.
