About Hawksmoor & the Opportunity
Hawksmoor began 20 years ago when two childhood friends set
out to open a restaurant in London serving the best steak they could find,
alongside great cocktails and genuinely warm hospitality. Since then, we have
grown into one of the most respected restaurant groups in the UK and Ireland.
Despite that growth, we remain a founder-led business, with a strong sense of
who we are and how we do things. We were recently named the 2nd Best Steakhouse
Group in the World for the second year running and are proud to be known not
just for our food, but for the way we make people feel when they visit us.
In the US, we currently have restaurants in New York and Chicago, with Boston
opening in September 2026. Each market is at a different stage of its
development, from a well-established restaurant in New York, to a growing
presence in Chicago, through to the launch of Boston.
We're looking for a Social Media Manager to lead organic and paid social strategy across the US – currently Chicago, New York, and Boston – with expected expansion. This is a hands-on role for someone who can build a content calendar, brief and direct shoots, edit existing content, write and post copy, run paid social campaigns, and report on what's actually working, all while staying true to Hawksmoor's brand voice and local market nuance in each city.
You'll be based in Boston and work closely with the US marketing team, key staff at each location, the global marketing team, and our PR and creative agencies.
What you'll do
· Own social media strategy and execution across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms for Hawksmoor's three US locations
· Develop and run paid social campaigns, from targeting and budget allocation through to performance reporting
· Build and manage content calendars tailored to each city's audience and moment in the opening/growth cycle
· Translate brand strategy into platform-native content, adapting tone for each city without losing the Hawksmoor voice
· Track and report on key social metrics (engagement, reach, conversion, paid performance) and turn data into recommendations
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders to keep a steady content pipeline
· Drive influencer and creator partnerships in market, working alongside PR and marketing leads
· Collaborate with PR to align organic social with press moments and earned coverage
· Design/asset creation and editing
· Represent the brand's US social presence day to day, with sound judgement on tone, timing, and what's worth posting
· Own day-to-day community management across channels, responding to and engaging audiences and driving discussion
· Compile regular competitor reviews and analysis
What you'll bring
· Highly organized and accountable
· Proven experience running social media campaigns in hospitality, restaurants, or a closely related consumer space
· Strong grasp of platform mechanics, algorithms, content formats, and what performs where
· Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, InDesign, or similar)
· Video editing skills (Capcut)
· Experience with paid social planning and execution (Meta Ads Manager required; TikTok Ads a plus)
· Comfort with measurement and reporting, able to read performance data and adjust strategy accordingly
· Excellent writing skills with an ear for brand voice and restraint
· Photography and video editing experience
· Photography and video production skills a plus
· Multi-market experience or the ability to manage nuance across different city audiences
· PR or earned media experience a plus
· Proficiency with social scheduling platforms (e.g., Sprout)
· This role is based in Boston, with occasional travel as needed
Most importantly, someone who cares deeply about creating love for Hawksmoor, takes
pride in doing things properly – and embodies our core Hawksmoor value of
working hard and being nice to people!
