Description

Hawksmoor is a British steakhouse group, currently ranked No. 2 in the world among multi-site steakhouse groups by the World's 101 Best Steak Restaurants awards. We have three restaurants in the US: New York, Boston and Chicago, and this role owns the organic social media strategy across all of them, working alongside our Senior Group Content and Social Strategy Lead.

Our growth in the US rests on the same obsession that built the brand in the UK: real sourcing, real cooking, and a genuine point of view, carried through everything from the menu to the media we put out. This role is responsible for turning that into a considered, confident organic social strategy that builds Hawksmoor's reputation across three major US markets, and then for executing it hands-on, building the strategy and creating the content that brings it to life, in close partnership with our UK-based brand marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

·       Collaborate with the Senior Group Content and Social Strategy Lead to develop and present the U.S. organic social media strategy in line with Hawksmoor’s business objectives and marketing calendar.

·       Create and maintain monthly and quarterly social media plans for U.S. restaurants, aligned with wider business activity and culturally relevant moments.

·       Act as the primary lead for Hawksmoor’s social media presence in the U.S., while working closely with the broader marketing team to ensure consistency of tone and brand messaging across regions.

·       Build and present the US organic social strategy with the Group Senior Content Manager, tying every plan back to Hawksmoor's business objectives and marketing calendar.

·       Turn brand plans and business goals into monthly and quarterly social plans for all three US restaurants, timed to wider business activity and moments that actually matter to our audience.

·       Own the US social presence day to day, working with the wider marketing team to keep tone and message consistent across the UK and US.

Content & Scheduling

·       Manage day-to-day channel activity, including community management, across all platforms for the US market

·       Ensure cohesion between social media activity and wider marketing channels

·       Proactively introduce creative social campaigns tied to brand activity, business objectives and cultural moments

·       Brief and collaborate with internal teams and external partners as required

·       Educate and upskill the wider marketing team on social media trends and platform best practice

·       Know which content works on which platform for which audience, and plan accordingly rather than posting the same thing everywhere.

·       Plan and schedule daily activity so campaigns land on time and stay relevant.

Community & Engagement

·       Build genuine community, not just reply to comments and DMs on time, though that matters too. The goal is people who follow because they feel part of something.

·       Build relationships with local influencers, creators and partners who fit the brand, to extend reach in each city.

·       Spot opportunities for co-creation, user-generated content and local partnerships.

Insights & Performance

·       Track performance and use the data to sharpen content, not just to report on it.

·       Report regularly on activity and results, and use what you learn to adjust strategy.

·       Stay ahead of platform and algorithm changes, and know what's worth acting on versus what's just noise.

Requirements:

·       3–5 years' proven experience managing social media across multiple channels and content types, ideally in hospitality, food & beverage, lifestyle or another premium, consumer-facing brand.

·       Hands-on, proven experience managing Facebook, Instagram, TikTok end-to-end with a track record of managing high-volume channels with large followings.

·       A track record of turning brand plans and business objectives into organic social strategy that actually delivers.

·       Real platform and audience expertise: you know what content works on which platform for which audience

·       Exceptional attention to detail, the kind that shows up in every caption, crop and post time.

·       A quality-first instinct rather than a trend-chasing one. Our guest is 35+ and discerning; we want someone who can build content with real craft and restraint, not something that only works because it's this week's trend.

·       Experience building community and engagement, not just managing it. Growing genuine audience connection rather than just responding to comments and messages.

·       Sharp instincts for algorithm shifts, platform changes and emerging opportunities, and the initiative to act on them early.

·       Content / asset creation skills a bonus but not necessity (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut or similar).

·       Excellent written and verbal communication, with real command of tone and brand voice.

·       Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, which is normal in hospitality, and able to reprioritize without losing quality.

·       Highly organized, confident managing your own timeline across time zones with the UK team.

·       Pride in the work: every post represents the whole restaurant, and you treat it that way.

·       Willingness to travel semi-regularly between New York, Boston and Chicago.
