Hawksmoor Guildhall

Description
  • Cloakroom Assistant
Since 2006, Hawksmoor has been the UK’s home of ethically sourced, grass-fed beef, cooked over charcoal and paired with award-winning wines and cocktails. We’re proud to be a certified B Corp, one of the most sustainable restaurant groups in the industry, and to have been recognised as one of the Best Companies to work for year after year.

As a Cloakroom Assistant on a fixed-term contract at Hawksmoor, you’ll be joining us for our busy Christmas season. You’ll be one of the first and last faces our guests see, helping us deliver warm, organised and generous hospitality from the moment they arrive.
You’ll take ownership of the cloakroom during busy services, keeping guest belongings safe and organised while helping arrivals and departures run smoothly. You’ll also work closely with and support our Reservations team during peak services, helping with guest arrivals, queues, seating and anything else needed to keep the front door running seamlessly.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome guests warmly and confidently on arrival
  • Manage the cloakroom, keeping coats and belongings organised and secure
  • Support smooth guest arrivals and departures during busy services
  • Work closely with the Reservations team, assisting with queues, seating and guest flow when needed
  • Help manage busy periods at the front door, keeping things calm and organised
  • Communicate clearly with the Reservations team, managers and wider floor team
  • Assist with guest enquiries and requests with care and professionalism
  • Support the wider team wherever needed during particularly busy services
Who You Are
  • Naturally friendly, welcoming and great with people
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy restaurant environment
  • Organised and able to stay calm when managing lots of guests at once
  • Reliable, proactive and happy to jump in and support the team
  • A great communicator who enjoys being part of a close-knit team
  • Previous hospitality or customer-facing experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided
Our Values
Welcome Everyone - We create warm, inclusive spaces where people feel genuinely welcome.
Work Hard and Be Nice to People - We set high standards and treat each other with kindness and respect.
Hit Hawksmoor Standards - We care deeply about quality and consistency every day.
Keep Evolving - We stay curious, open to feedback and always looking to improve.

Benefits

  • Free team meals on shift
  • 50% off food at Hawksmoor for you and your loved ones
  • Paid overtime on salaries
  • Income protection and death in service cover
  • Paid annual volunteer days
  • Stream early wage access and financial wellbeing tools
  • Referral bonuses from day one
  • Exclusive savings on travel, shopping and experiences
  • Restaurant welfare budget for snacks, drinks and support
  • Full training and development with clear progression opportunities
