Restaurant Manager

  • After an incredible 10 years’ operating and one of the city’s busiest restaurants, Hawksmoor Manchester is looking for a restaurant manager.
  • Winner of the Great Service Award at Manchester Food & Drink Festival in 2023 and 2019
  • Join our General manager, AGMs, Exec chef, bar manager, wine manager and reservations manager as the head of the huge restaurant department and complete this stellar management team!

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Front of House Manager to join our team and make a real impact. If you are someone who loves building a positive, motivated, and inclusive culture where every team member feels valued and driven to succeed, this could be the perfect fit. As our Restaurant Manager, you will play the instrumental role in helping the team grow and shine; providing training, mentorship, and support to make sure everyone is on the same page about delivering exceptional service & hospitality to our guests. We are a busy restaurant serving over 2,000 people each week, with the RM managing a team of 40 staff including: junior managers, head waiters, waiters and food runners.

In this role, you set the standard by leading from the front, showing the team what great service looks like; you will be hands-on, involved in all aspects of the daily flow – from welcoming guests with a smile to making sure every detail of the dining experience runs smoothly. Plus, have the chance to build a team culture that’s all about passion, dedication, and a shared goal of creating memorable guest experiences. The successful candidate will cherish being in the dining room - it is their natural habitat - be able to balance the needs of the team & guests, while above all being uncompromising on standards, as ultimately this is what benefits everybody.

Experience of managing teams and restaurants of a similar scale to ours is essential.

This is alongside being rated as one of the most sustainable restaurant groups in the country and raising over £1 million for Action Against Hunger, as well as supporting several charities closer to home, including Dublin Simon- who work tirelessly to improve the lives of people who are homeless by delivering housing, health and wellbeing services.

Benefits Include:

  • “Refer a friend” bonus from day 1
  • Tronc paid for every hour you work, breaks and holidays
  • Discounted health and fitness benefits
  • Additional paid maternity and paternity leave to help you care for new additions to your family
  • Free meals when you’re at work
  • 50% off food in our restaurants for you and your loved ones
  • An optional 20 hours each year to use for volunteering
  • Exclusive savings on travel, shopping, restaurants, and more
  • 28 days’ holiday that include service charge
  • A restaurant welfare budget allocated for healthy snacks, drinks and support during our busiest times of the year
  • Huge investment in training and development with qualifications across Wine, H&S, Food Safety, HR and a five-stage management development programme, run in partnership with the Watershed Management School

We strive to be a company that is inclusive in terms of age, gender, identity, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and to create an environment where everyone, from any background, can be happy at work.
