Description

Company Background:

Established in 2006, Hawksmoor is a British steak restaurant and cocktail bar operating in the quality dining sector. The company offers high quality beef, raised with high standards of animal welfare and butchered ethically. It operates a lunch (30%) and dinner (70%) trading model across ten locations in the UK, with a 7,000 square foot restaurant in New York and a 3-story restaurant opening in Chicago June 2024. The growth plan includes an ambition to open more sites in the US, and additional sites in the UK.

Hawksmoor has a strong ethical culture. It has been ranked as one of the top 100 Best Companies to work for in the UK (in any industry) in each of the last 13 years, rated as one of the most sustainable restaurant groups in the country every year since 2010, has raised almost £2 million for Action Against Hunger, as well as supporting a number of charities closer to home. In 2022, Hawksmoor was certified as a BCorp, an accreditation for businesses with good social and environmental performance as well as financial performance.

Hawksmoor is seeking to add a National Sales Director to the team. The National Sales Director will develop and execute a nationwide sales strategy. This role will lead a team of sales professionals while building strong relationships with key partners and vendors with a focus on achieving revenue targets on a national scale. Initially, this role will have a primary focus on two restaurants in Chicago and New York City. The ideal candidate will develop and own a database of clients and potential clients (consumers and corporates) and deliver private dining and events revenue across current and future sites through a strategic approach to each ‘level of the funnel’ (awareness, outreach, sales, conversion, follow up/repeat business), clear data analysis, KPIs and day-to-day review of pipeline and sales activity.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

·  Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals across multiple regions.

·  Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, setting clear performance expectations and fostering a culture of accountability.

·  Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and enhance existing customer relationships.

·  Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, culinary, and operations teams to align on business objectives and optimize sales processes.

·  Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze sales data to track the effectiveness of strategies, making adjustments as necessary to ensure targets are met.

·  Client Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service delivery and satisfaction.

Ideal Candidates will have/will be:

●     Minimum 5-10 years of proven sales management experience, ideally in a national scope.

●     Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies.

●     Strong analytical skills, exceptional leadership abilities, and proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools

●     Experience in the restaurant industry a must.

●     Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of tone and brand voice.

●     Highly organized and able to work independently across time zones, with confidence in managing timelines and priorities.

●     Willingness to travel frequently between Chicago and New York City (and more with future growth) as required.
