Barback

Reporting to the Bar Manager, we’re looking for a barback to join our team.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• To be part of the team running the restaurant, including, but not exclusively:
• Correct set up and break down of the bar daily
• Correct set up and break down of barback & bar prep area
• Maintain and up–keep crockery and cutlery to the highest standard
• To relay and communicate between floor and kitchen

A good understanding of:

• Product
• Points of service for the restaurant
• Restaurant floor plan
• Kitchen logistics
• Food handling
• Food Hygiene and Health and safety

To be considered for the role you will have:

• Experience working in some of the best bars and restaurants in New York.
• Comfortable and experienced with high volume businesses in terms of both covers and revenue.
• Good communication skills.
• Hard work and dedication.

Hawksmoor opened their first international restaurant on September 8, 2021 in an incredible restaurant space in New York: a beautiful National Historic Landmark built as The United Charities Building in 1893, with an incredible 30-foot ceilinged assembly hall that forms the main room of the restaurant. The restaurant has 170 seats with a 50-cover bar and is located just off Park Avenue South and north of the prestigious Gramercy Park and Union Square.
