The opportunity

As our Management Accountant, you’ll take ownership of the monthly management accounts and be the go-to for all things forecasting, budgeting, and business partnering. From variance analysis to cost reporting, you’ll make sure every number adds up and every decision is backed by insight.

You’ll also keep an eye on the bigger picture: spotting problems before they flare up, analysing performance, and helping the business adapt to whatever comes its way.

What you’ll do (aka your secret sauce):

  • Own the monthly management accounts, variance analysis, journals, reconciliations, and P&L
  • Help shape annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Provide management reporting for smarter decision-making
  • Analyse spend vs budget and highlight where things don’t stack up
  • Support project appraisals and post-implementation reviews
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts in management format
  • Report on company assets and liabilities, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Keep us compliant with financial regulations (no surprises, please)
  • Continuously review processes to make sure we’re efficient and cost-effective

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • You'll have started your ACCA or CIMA qualification
  • At least one years' experience in accounting within a retail or hospitality business
  • Solid technical skills and experience with full management accounts
  • Strong commercial awareness and a knack for seeing the bigger picture
  • Brilliant communication skills — financial and non-financial folk should both “get it” when you explain it
  • The ability to juggle, prioritise, and keep projects moving at pace
